Chavereys Chartered Accountants
Chavereys was formed in 1998 by Martyn Crawley and Richard Davis who at this time were two of the managing partners of Reeves and Neylan, the largest accountancy practice in Kent. They both shared the view that firms must specialise in order to provide quality of service. Since 1998 the firm’s focus has been on clients who want proactive specialist advice.
We are one of the UK’s leading advisory firms and we continue to grow our client base and importantly our team.
Chavereys has 5 partners, with a headcount of around 30 and a very high proportion of Chartered Accountants.
The extraordinary thing about Chavereys is that 90% of us are under the age of 50 and 75% of us are under the age of 40.
This means we can provide real succession in any industry where many advisers cannot.
We have assembled some of the best brains operating in the sector in the UK and this is why we continue to drive ideas in the sector and is why we are recognised as one of its leading voices in taxation and financial matters.
We publish the Monthly Farming Update (started by Prof John Nix) which has a wide readership amongst farmers and professionals.
With our interest predominantly in the rural and farming sectors we participate in a number of rural societies, clubs and shows at a local and national level. We also represent the industry on a country-wide level via Nick Holmes’ presence on the ICAEW’s Farming and Rural Business Group committee.
