Combined Training is a two phase competition – starting with a dressage test and then a round of showjumping. The number of faults (jumping and time) incurred in the showjumping are deducted from the number of good marks received in the dressage. The combination with the highest score will be the winner.
The Eventer Challenge is a single phase competition taking place over a series of showjump and cross country fences located within an arena. Penalty points are accrued for jumping faults (e.g. refusals & falls) and for time faults (going too fast or too slowly). The combination with the lowest number of penalties will be the winner.
Both Combined Training and Eventer Challenge competitions now include 50cm classes. All classes are eligible for the Chilham Championship 2018
