Chilham Championship 2018

Congratulations to Heidi Odenbreit-Matthews and Killea Champ, winners of the 2017 Championship with 20 points. They will be enjoying a luxury Christmas hamper.

Championship Terms & Conditions

1. The championship will be for Chilham Park events.
2. The qualifying events for 2018 will be held at Chilham Park on
a) 13th May 2018
b) 10th June 2018
c) 9th September 2018
d) 23rd September 2018

3. Classes with less than 6 starters will not be eligible as a qualifier.
4. A leader board will be displayed on the Chilham Park website and will be updated after each event.
5. Any objection must be received in writing by the organiser before 20th October 2018.
6. The winner will be notified by 30th October 2018.
7. The prize-giving will occur at the Chilham end of year party; the winner must attend in order to receive their prize. The winner and runners-up will be notified of the date nearer the time.
8. The prize is offered by Chilham Park. Booking may be required to redeem your prize.
9. The prize must be redeemed within one year of the presentation. It is non-transferable and no substitution will be offered.

Points

10. Points will only be awarded to an eligible horse and rider combinations. In a pairs class, both horse and rider combinations must be eligible before points will be awarded to either combination.
11. Points will be awarded as follows

One Day Events

a) The TEN highest placed eligible combinations in each qualifying class will be eligible for points
b) The highest placed eligible combination will be awarded 10 points; with points decreasing by one for each subsequently highest eligible combination down to 1 point for 10th highest placed eligible combination..

Hunter Trials (Individual)

c) The TEN highest placed eligible combinations in each qualifying individual class will be eligible for points.
d) The highest placed eligible combination will be awarded 10 points; with points decreasing by one for each subsequently highest eligible combination down to 1 point for 10th highest placed eligible combination.

Hunter Trials (Pairs)

e) The SIX highest placed pairs of eligible combinations in each qualifying pairs class will be eligible for points.
f) The highest placed eligible combination pair will be awarded 6 points each; with points decreasing by one for each subsequently highest eligible combination pair down to 1 point for 6th highest placed eligible combination pair.

Combined Training & Eventer Challenge

g) The SIX highest placed eligible combinations in each qualifying individual class will be eligible for points.
h) The highest placed eligible combination will be awarded 6 points; with points decreasing by one for each subsequently highest eligible combination down to 1 point for 6th highest placed eligible combination.
12. In the event that the result of a qualifying class includes a tied result all combinations in a tied position will receive the points associated to the tied position.
13. The championship will be awarded to the combination accruing the highest cumulative points across eligible classes. If there is equality, the winner will be the combination with the
a) Highest placing in qualifying ODE classes, then
b) Highest placing in qualifying Combined Training classes, then
c) Highest placing in qualifying Eventer Challenge classes, then
d) Highest placing in qualifying Hunter Trial individual classes, then
e) Highest placing in qualifying Hunter Trial pairs classes
14. If, prior to 20th October 2018, a combination are found to be ineligible for points already awarded then the points awarded for eligible entries of a class will be recalculated and published on the Chilham Park website.
